About Brenden M. Moore, Esq.
I built a business before
I built a law practice.
That changes everything about how you experience my legal services.
An Unexpected Journey
I started my first business at fourteen. An online store called ToysandMusic.com, selling vintage wrestling merchandise. I built the website myself, taught myself HTML, figured out shipping, customer service, and inventory — all before I could drive.
The business grew. Thousands of customers across fifty states and over twenty countries. Nearly two and a half million unique visitors. Three Golden Web Awards. Internet Power Seller. Accolades from wrestling legends. I ran it full-time from age fourteen to twenty-four.
One day, World Wrestling Entertainment threatened to sue me and my business. The demand letter came from K&L Gates, the global law firm representing WWE and founded by Bill Gates' father. I was eighteen. I was scared. I knew nothing about the law, and I had no lawyer. I didn't back down. The business survived. Most importantly, I learned something critical: if I wanted to protect what I built, I needed to understand the law.
Not long after, I was accepted to and enrolled at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. When interview season arrived, I walked into a room at K&L Gates — the very firm that had once threatened to sue me — shook the interviewer's hand, and said:
“You're the reason I'm here.”
I began my legal career at K&L Gates. My former nemesis became my employer. I had now seen the practice of law from both sides — as a business owner who needed a lawyer, and as a lawyer who understood what that felt like.
Practice Philosophy
That unique perspective became the foundation of my practice. I do not believe legal services are justified simply because time was spent or complexity was created. However a matter is priced, the question is the same: did it deliver real value? When it's your money being spent, you learn fast who creates value and who just bills time.
Only What Matters
Most attorneys fail to distinguish between what must be done, what should be done, what can wait, and what can be done. They collapse all four into a single category — and bill you for all of it as though it were essential. That is not a value proposition. It is a billing strategy. I separate what matters from what does not — and price accordingly.
Defined Deliverable
Every engagement has a written deliverable, a clear timeline, and an explicit boundary. No ambiguity. No surprises.
Value Before Volume
Pricing reflects the outcome, not the hours. A client who spends $1,000 deserves the same precision as one who spends $100,000.

Beyond the Practice
A Personal Mission
My stepfather, a board-certified gastroenterologist, lost his medical practice after becoming disabled because of a poorly negotiated contract. A contract I never reviewed. That failure changed the trajectory of my career. It is why contract review and protecting what people build are at the core of everything I do.
Volunteer Work
Since 2022, I have sponsored the relocation of displaced Ukrainian families through the Uniting for Ukraine program, partnering with business leaders and philanthropists to bring four families — eight people in total — safely to the United States. It is among the most meaningful work I have ever done.
Heritage
I come from a family of trailblazing women. My great-grandmother opened a tavern in Beacon, New York, when many refused to patronize a woman-owned business. My grandmother became the first woman in Beacon's history to run for mayor. My mother served in the United States Army, raised me as a single parent, and earned three degrees while working multiple jobs. From these women, I learned that respect, work ethic, and relentless dedication are non-negotiable.
In Another Life
Professionally trained in comedy at The Second City, ComedySportz, and the Annoyance Theatre in Chicago. I've appeared on Lopez Tonight and Fox News, and spoken at the Internet Retailer Conference & Expo. Somewhere in my home sits an alien butler statue from Spain wearing a custom-made championship title belt. I can't fully explain that, but it does pair nicely with the fact that Hulk Hogan once referred to me as “one of the greatest of all time.”
